For many, enjoying holiday light displays is as traditional as exchanging gifts and singing carols. Patch and T-Mobile are teaming up to highlight the best lighting spots in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne.

Middle Schooler Collects Pajamas for Hospitalized Kids
James Katona, a fourth grader from Plymouth Meeting, is making a difference by collecting 500 new pajama sets for kids at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
James, who suffered severe burns at age 4, remembers how receiving pajamas during his hospital stay lifted his spirits. Now, he wants to return the favor: "People bringing pajamas every year cheered me up a lot," he said.
Conshohocken Winter Market Starts Friday!

Plane Crash on PA Turnpike
A plane crash near Capital City Airport occurred after engine failure and low fuel reserves. The pilot, after flying for over four hours, didn’t refuel despite considering it.
Though the utility truck involved was struck, the driver was unharmed. The pilot reported using 52.5 of the 55 gallons of fuel available, leaving only a pint remaining when the crash occurred.
Fire Destroys Historic Hospital
A fire broke out at the Department of General Services Annex Complex in Susquehanna Township, engulfing the roof of the early-1900s hospital.
Due to leaks, water to the hydrants had been shut off, forcing crews to truck in water. Fortunately, the fire was contained without major injuries after hours of firefighting efforts.
