Super Bowl 57 is featuring the Philadelphia Eagles, lead by Head Coach Nick Sirianni, facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs, lead by Andy Reid. Both teams, no matter who wins, will be playing in the last game of the season.
Chiefs (16-3)- We have Francis Davis, 8th grader at Colonial Middle School, talking about two week's ago game for the Chiefs, “ The AFC Championship game..., we [the Chiefs] were bombarded by injuries early in the 2nd half. The Bengals were playing terrific, until that last drive when Joseph Ossai caused an unnecessary roughness to win the game. But like everyone else, I do think the refs were a little but one sided, we still would've won anyways.
"I do think that if we do receive those players we lost to injuries late in the Cincinnati game, we should put up a good fight against Philly, with the returns of Juju Smith-Schuster, and a key play-maker in L'Jarius Sneed. I think that if we keep the scheme we've been running we could beat Philly, but it won't be an easy victory.”
As Francis said, the Chiefs have dealt with injuries in their past couple of games. The Chiefs defense held Joe Burrow and the Bengals to 20 points with the Chiefs offense scoring 23 points. Both of the Chiefs playoff games have been one score games with the Chiefs getting the better of the two. Andy Reid will do his best to have his team be the winner of super bowl 57.
Eagles (16-3)- We have Hassan Ahmed, 8th grader at Colonial Middle School, talking about the Eagles game two weeks ago, “It was a very good start to the game. Opening drive touchdown. I felt excited, thrilled and happy. Then, I got a little bit worried. Our defense kept on making big plays, but our offense was not able to capitalize on those big plays by the defense.
"Towards the end of the 1st half I was more than happy. Defense stepped up once again, and offense started to click. The second half was making me anticipated for the end to see the trophy. Defense was stellar in the second half, offense doing its job burning out the clock. It was amazing, and one of the best days of life. The Eagles will win the Super Bowl 45-42. GO BIRDS. FLY EAGLES FLY”
As Hassan said, the Eagles won last week with a lot of help from their defense. On the offensive side of the game for the eagle, offensive tackle Lane Johnson, playing with an injured leg, stopped arguably the best defensive play in the league, Nick Bosa. So even though he could stop Bosa doesn’t mean he can stop the Chiefs defense, does mean he should be able to play well and effectively.
Bonus fact: Madden NFL 23 predicts that the Eagles will beat the Chiefs per. Yahoo! Finance
Prediction- Given the Seasons that both the teams have and all the players that both teams have I am going to make a prediction of what I think the Super Bowl will look like. I think that the Eagles will beat the Chiefs with a score of 30-27. I think that the Eagles will be Super Bowl champions but who knows because it will be a really close game.
Thank you to Francis and Hassan for giving their input on the game and both of their teams that they root for.
