Second Semester Information
Now that everyone is back from winter break, there are a few things you should know before the second semester starts. Below is a list of important information to help you prepare. There is one section for 6th grade and another for 7th and 8th grade. The grade-level sections will only discuss changes in classes. First, let’s go over some general information. Keep in mind that this is not necessarily what will happen next semester, but how to be prepared for it.
When does next semester start?
The second semester will begin on January 26, 2026. Make sure to mark your calendars!
Will new activities be chosen?
No. Activities are selected every trimester. If new activities were chosen at the start of semester two, there would be less than a month for current activities. That would be absurd!

Make sure to stay on top of your work in Science or History, as these classes will switch at the start of the new semester. If you currently have History, you will switch to Science, and vice versa.

News for 7th and 8th Graders
Here is some important information for 7th and 8th graders about the upcoming second semester.

That’s pretty much all I know! This is my first year at CMS, so I may not know every detail about a semester switch. If you have questions, it’s best to ask a teacher—they usually know how these things work. Have a good day, night, or whatever time it is. Goodbye!
