It’s time.
Colonial Middle School’s 7th and 8th grade musical, Mean Girls Jr, is so close to opening night this Friday, March 6 at 7:30 PM. Three additional shows follow: two on Saturday, March 7 at 2:00 and 7:30 PM and on Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 PM.
As previously mentioned, the musical is Mean Girls Jr, which follows high schooler Cady Heron after moving from Africa to the US and experiencing high school life for the first time, including three rich girls that have the most influence of any students at North Shore High School: Regina George, and her sidekicks Gretchen Weiners and Karen Smith.
Leads
Here are our wonderful cast leads for our show, who you will probably see the most in our production. There are also our two main student leaders of the crew, the stage manager, who calls cues in the show, and the fly captain, who operates the flies and acts as a leader of stage crew. If you want a visual of the roles of everyone in the show, whether it be relatives or friends, two posters outside of the gym and cafeteria details the roles of all students participating in the show.

Unfortunately, tickets are almost sold out entirely because I made this article way too late (sorry). But, if you want tickets, try as soon as possible. If you can’t find any on sale, but still very much want to attend the show, limited tickets will be available at the door on all four show nights. If you want one of these, however, make sure to show up early. Tickets are available at musicalcms.ludus.com.
The show has truly been a joy to work on, and if you are coming to see our hard work, prepare yourself: it will be a fun show for all of our spectators and performers, with some fun little secrets in between. So, I’m gonna go break my legs now and I hope I see you there!
You probably won’t see me though, unless you’re really paying attention during bows. Unfortunate.
