Awards: Trombone section consisting of Joey, Sasha and Dominic won the best section award. Sasha won the best soloist award for trombones due to her solo in High Maintenance. CMS overall scored an excellent which is the second best score. Considering half of the jazz band consisted of sixth graders and ninth percent of the players have never been to a festival before, this is very good.
And of course this all could have never been possible without the help and support of our wonderful band director Mr O’Neill. The CMS Jazz band will be competing again on the Twenty Eighth at Indian Crest.
