Music Man is a very unique show that will forever have a special place in my heart. All of its colorful characters, catchy tunes, twists and turns turn it into a forever classic that will never be erased make it unforgeable. Music Man was my ninth show that I have ever been in, my latest favorite, and my first show with CMS. I, along with the rest of the cast and crew, really enjoyed the experience of learning the choreography, rehearsing lines backstage, and overall having a very fun time. Thank you to all of the eighth graders who helped with the production, and all of the directors who provided every cast and crew member with a chance to shine. To all of you who wish to join the musical next year; do it! It is very much a unique experience that you will not regret.

I have really enjoyed the experience of working on The Music Man Kids. This was really exciting for me because I absolutely adore the original Music Man. Everything from the creative characters and catchy tunes makes it an engaging experience for everyone; The cast, crew, audience, and directors. The Music Man is an interesting and unique show, as its main protagonist may seem like an antagonist to some people. This is by far my personal favorite show. Not only was it great to perform in, it was also great to meet new people and make new friends. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys music, film, or art in any form should join this one in a kind experience. I can’t wait to see everyone in next year’s musical!

Unlike many people in this show, this was my first time truly being involved in a musical like this, and it was a blast. I remember going to see my eighth grade friend (fellow scoop writer Jayson Kelly) perform in Camp Rock, and I remember looking back toward the follow spot towers and saying to myself, that’s what I want to do. It’s a decision I will never regret. Mr. Mangat, who was the main adult in the tech crew section, is an absolutely great person, and I will never forget him for what he did for me. I don’t just deeply respect him, though. My fellow sixth graders like Jimmy, Nicky, Veronica, Cooper, and Massimo, were so fun to be with. Not to mention the older kids, like Katie, Zach, and Anna, who we could not have had the show without. Not to mention, an incredible standing ovation on our final night that literally made me tear up. I know everyone will say that it was a great experience, but I am truly grateful for what this did to me. I totally recommend that if you are interested in theater, enter the show! It is a truly surreal experience.

Being in the booth, it's an experience that I will never forget.I love doing all of the cues and (sorta) bossing people around. Cooper is my favorite person in the booth, but I like all the people on the tech crew. The 8th and 7th graders are my absolute favorite, though, because they just KNOW what to do, and do it. It can get a little loco in tech. We sometimes fight, and it's really hard, but we always pull through.
