Giant has donated $14,547.92 to Colonial School District through its Feeding School Kids initiative, which took place from Jan. 3 to Feb. 28. The generous donation will be used to provide meals for students throughout the summer. The District is thankful for the support of the grocery store chain, which has raised more than $1.4 million to address the issue of childhood hunger in the communities it serves. The community is also deserving of gratitude for “rounding up” when making a store purchase or converting CHOICE points to a donation. On March 30, Lori McCoy, Director of Food and Nutrition Services, and Sharon Iacovino, Head Cook for Colonial Elementary School, received the check from local Giant Food Store representatives Todd March and Heather Campagna.
