Conshohocken Elementary School students received important information about fire safety and prevention during a recent visit from members of the Conshohocken Fire Company.

As part of the observation of Fire Prevention Week, students learned from local firefighters about how to prevent fires in their homes and also what they can do to protect themselves if an accident occurs. In addition, the students had the opportunity to see the protective gear that firefighters wear and view the inside of a fire truck. 

Fire Prevention Week was observed Oct. 3-9 and occurs around this time every year upon the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire, which resulted in significant loss of life and property.
