Conshohocken Elementary School's Coyote got a makeover, thanks to a donation made by the Outreachers of Whitemarsh.
The affectionately named Coyote 2.0 made a debut at the school's spring carnival in May and the appearance generated a lot of excitement. The coyote has had a long history with the school, with the first mascot logo designed by a first-grader named Glen Smith. The coyote continued to evolve over the years and was turned into a hand puppet used during morning announcements. In 2012, the school ordered its first coyote costume, which has been heavily used at events.
In 2020, the school decided to "rebrand" the mascot to be more modern. Schank's Printing of Conshohocken provided the design services for the two-dimensional logo, and Rasta Imposta Costume Design built the new costume. Outreachers of Whitemarsh provided the funding for the endeavor.
