Quick Course Guide for Freshman Year (8th to 9th)

The Basics: Your Core Classes

9th grade students are required to take course in the following content areas:

  1. English (2 credits)
  2. Science (1 or 2 credits)
  3. Math (1 or 2 credits)
  4. History (1 credit)

Note:The number of credits are determined by teacher recommendations.

Students typically have 3 additional elective credits after selecting the above core courses, but this will depend on selections for physical education, music, reading and world language. Heath
