Second Grade
Dear Families,
We are looking forward to an awesome year in 2nd Grade with you and your child. Being prepared and having supplies is a great way to kick off a new school year!
To help you take advantage of all those great summer sales on school supplies, we are providing you with a list of supplies your child will need to begin the school year. Due to space limitations in student desks and in our classrooms, please stick to the sizes recommended when purchasing supplies. Please do not send in extra supplies, markers, crayons, or colored pencils.
2 - Pocket folders - please no designs on folders and no plastic folders (the papers slide out). One of each color: orange, yellow, green, and purple. (Papers slide out of the plastic folders). These can be purchased at Staples or Walmart. Please do not label the folders with student names.
2 – Four-packs of thin Expo dry erase markers or 8 markers total. Black only. The color ones stain the white boards.
2 – Boxes of pre-sharpened pencils if possible or the unsharpened work as well. Plain yellow pencils. No designs.
1 – Plastic pencil pouch with a zipper - must fit 3-4 pencils, glue stick, scissors, and an eraser (Please no rectangular pencil boxes. They do not fit in the desks)
1-2 – Boxes of tissues (we use lots of tissues throughout the year!)
1-2 – Boxes of Ziploc gallon-sized bags
1 – Box of Ziploc quart or sandwich zip close plastic bags
2 – Containers of disinfectant wipes (Lysol or Clorox brand)
1 – Child-sized sock or piece of cloth (to be used as an eraser)
1 - Pack of Crayola crayons - 8, 16, or 24 count
1 – Big smile and a positive attitude about learning!
Thank you in advance!
