Colonial School District Education Foundation kicks off 2024 Food For Thought Campaign

Thanks to the generosity of Colonial families and community partners, the Colonial School District Education Foundation has been able to dedicate more than $50,000 to hungry Colonial children through our annual Food For Thought campaign.

Now it’s time to refill that bucket, and you can help. Click here to donate.

Through Food For Thought, we have been able to:

  • Provide more than 5,000 lunches for students whose families just miss the cutoff for free and reduced lunch.

  • Devote $16,000 to food for families over the weekends.

  • Cover meals for students in the District's summer programs.

We’re kicking off our 2024 campaign with an initial goal of raising $10,000, and thanks to a matching grant from Firstrust Bank, your donation will be worth double until we reach that goal!

Please help us make a difference. Click here to donate.

With more than one in four Colonial students qualifying for free or reduced lunch, food insecurity remains a serious issue for many of our children. With your support, we’re proud to meet this most basic need and help these students thrive.

Best regards,
Annette Swartz
President, Colonial School District Education Foundation

P.S. There’s another way to support Food For Thought! The Colonial School District Education Foundation is honored to once again be named a Hometown Charity by John Kennedy Subaru. During the Share The Love campaign, running from November 21 to January 2, John Kennedy Subaru customers who buy or lease a car can choose the Foundation to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America.
