New ice cream vendor selected

The Food and Nutrition Services Department is working with a new ice cream vendor effective for the 2026-27 school year. 

The previous vendor has gone out of business, and Colonial is now partnering with Wells Enterprises to provide a selection of frozen desserts for student lunches. Wells does not share the same peanut- and treenut-free certification as our previous vendor, but the company is committed to preventing cross-contamination and food safety in its production processes.
