Record-high of 26 students qualify for state FBLA competition
A record number of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School students have qualified for the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Conference - 26 students will have the opportunity to represent Region 20 at this year’s conference in Hershey.
Students become eligible for the state conference following regional competitions. Depending upon their business focus, students may take tests to qualify, participate in presentations or performances, or both. Plymouth Whitemarsh High School students competed against 15 high schools from Montgomery County as part of the Region 20 competition held at Upper Dublin Public Library on Dec. 12.
The team also brought home six first-place awards in the categories of Graphic Design, Personal Finance, Parliamentary Procedure, Network Design, Management Information Systems, and Health Care Administration.
FBLA is an organization that prepares students for careers in business through competitions, leadership development, and community service.
“We are incredibly proud of our FBLA members and look forward to opportunities to celebrate their achievements,” said Paul Coleman, chapter adviser.
