PWHS scholar-athletes celebrate fall's National Signing Day

Congratulations to the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School scholar-athletes who have committed to continuing their sports careers at the college level—including three who will be competing for Division I schools.
Colonial School District recognized the students at the fall National Signing Day celebration on November 12.
Marleigh Burton, Soccer, Allegheny College

Marleigh Burton will be heading to Allegheny College in Western PA next year to play soccer for the Division III Gators. Senior Captain for the Colonials, Marleigh was named Second Team All League. Her highlights include this past season, with the team winning the Suburban One League Liberty Division Champion title.
Marleigh has played soccer since she was little and currently plays with FC Delco. She loves the team atmosphere and believes her time at PW has taught her to be resilient. A Distinguished Honor Roll student at PW, she’s also a member of the Flag Football team and National Honor Society.
Marleigh will be studying Neuroscience at Allegheny College.
Jack Cooper, Lacrosse, Palm Beach Atlantic University

Jack Cooper will be playing lacrosse next year for the Division II Sailfish at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. As a Midfielder, Jack earned 100 points so far for the Colonials and was named Second Team All League. His highlights include crushing Lower Merion.
Jack started his lacrosse career in fourth grade with the Conshy Bulldogs and has also played with club teams Triple H and Nxt. He believes his time at PW has taught him what it’s like to be on a team that wants to win with intensity and dedication.
At Palm Beach Atlantic University, Jack plans to study Finance.
Emily Dobrowolski, Field Hockey, East Stroudsburg University

Emily Dobrowlski will be heading to East Stroudsburg University to play field hockey for the Division II Warriors. An Attacking Center Midfielder, Emily has 54 goals and 31 assists for the Colonials. She is a three time All League First Team and Most Valuable Player award winner, as well as earning an All State Honorable Mention in 2023, All State First Team in 2024, and Suburban One All League Player of the Year in 2025. Her high school highlights include the team being the League Co-Champions in 2024, and Champions in 2025 while being undefeated in their Division.
Emily started playing field hockey in first grade and also plays for Mayhem, the Main Line Field Hockey Club. She loves the fast pace of the game and the energy that comes from working as one team. She believes that her time at PW has prepared her for the next step by teaching her the importance of hard work, discipline, teamwork, and staying focused on her goals.
A Distinguished Honor Roll student at PW, Emily also plays softball and is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Student Coalition.
Kate Dobrowolski, Field Hockey, East Stroudsburg University

Kate Dobrowolski will also be playing field hockey next year for the Division II East Stroudsburg University Warriors. Kate played Defense for the Colonials, earning her Suburban One Second Team honors in 2023 and 2024 and Suburban One League First Team and Defensive Player of the Year this past season. She holds the league championships in 2024 and 2025 as highlights.
Kate started playing field hockey in first grade and plays for Mayhem, the Main Line Field Hockey Club. Her favorite thing about the sport is how every player contributes their strengths to the success of the team.
A Distinguished Honor Roll student at PW, Kate is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Student Coalition. She will be majoring in Nursing at East Stroudsburg.
Dylan Ippolito, Lacrosse, Ursinus College

Dylan Ippolito will be heading up Germantown Pike to play lacrosse for the Division III Bears at Ursinus College. An Attacker for the Colonials, Dylan enjoys lacrosse, because it allows him to play the sport he loves with some of his closest friends. He started his lacrosse career 11 years ago and, in addition to PW, he plays for True Lacrosse.
Dylan plans to study Business at Ursinus.
Kaiane Jayo, Lacrosse, University of Rochester

Kaiane Jayo will be heading up to the University of Rochester to play lacrosse for the Division III Yellowjackets. Kaiane has played Midfield and Defense for the Colonials, racking up 32 goals, 17 assists, 75 draw controls, 56 caused turnovers, and 38 ground balls. She was named Second Team All League her junior year after earning Honorable Mention her ninth and tenth grade years.
Kaiane loves being part of a team, the grind of training and getting better, and continuously learning new things in order to improve. She started her lacrosse career in kindergarten and plays for the club team Triple H.
An AP Scholar and four-year Distinguished Honor Roll honoree, Kaiane also plays on the soccer team, participates in the Science Olympiad, and is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Club.
She’s looking forward to competing at a higher level at the University of Rochester, where she will be studying Health, Behavior and Society.
Maite Jayo, Lacrosse, Lehigh University

Maite Jayo will be playing lacrosse next year for the Division I Mountain Hawks at Lehigh University. A midfielder for the Colonials, Maite can claim 119 goals, 33 assists, and 63 draw controls. She was named First Team All League her sophomore and junior year, as well as a Pennsylvania Area Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association Offensive Player of the Week, and the PW Girls Lacrosse MVP.
Her highlights from last season include coming back from eight goals behind to beat Pleasant Valley, making it to the District Playoffs, and upsetting Wilson. Her favorite thing about the sport is the people. Maite started playing lacrosse with the Conshy Bulldogs in kindergarten and currently plays for Triple H Lacrosse.
An AP Scholar and National Merit Scholar at PW, Maite is also a member of the soccer team, the Science Olympiad, the Cancer Awareness Club, and the Spanish Club. She will be majoring in Health, Medicine, and Society at Lehigh.
Michael Pereira, Basketball, University of Pennsylvania

Michael Pereira will be playing basketball for the Penn Quakers next year at the Division I University of Pennsylvania. A Center for the Colonials, Michael averaged 10 points and eight rebounds per game his junior year, with highlights of 23 points and eight rebounds against Garnett Valley during District Playoffs and 28 points and 14 rebounds against Lower Merion during the District Semifinals. He has been named Second Team All League and received an All League Honorable Mention. His club teams include Team Melo and Team Final on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League circuit.
Outside of the gym, Michael is involved in the Spanish Club, Cancer Awareness Club, Piece of Mind, the National Business Honor Society, and International Baccalaureate. The six-time distinguished Honor Roll student and National Recognition Program awardee plans to study business at Penn and is looking forward to making a run at the March Madness Tournament.
Joslyn Perez, Softball, Kutztown University

Joslyn Perez will be playing softball next year for the Division II Golden Bears at Kutztown University. A Middle Infielder for the Colonials, Joslyn boasts a batting average of .372 and on base percentage of .412. She racked up 48 hits in two seasons, including a team leading nine doubles her sophomore year. She was named First Team All League and All Area in ninth and tenth grade, in addition to an All State nod for second base as a freshman. Her highlights include helping the team win its first league title since 2008.
Joslyn started playing the sport at the age of four in Plymouth Little League and currently plays travel softball for Invasion 18U National. She believes her time at PW has taught her how to handle mental challenges and setbacks with the support of her coaches and team.
An International Baccalaureate student at PW, she’s also a three-year varsity member of the Girls Basketball Team, an orientation leader, and a member of the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society.
Joslyn will be majoring in Psychology with a minor in Art at Kutztown.
Mani Sajid, Basketball, Towson University

Mani Sajid will be heading to Towson University in Maryland next year to play basketball for the Division I Tigers. A shooting guard and point guard for the Colonials, Mani is a thousand point scorer and has been named First Team All League and Third Team All State. The 2023 District Championship is a highlight of his basketball career so far.
His favorite thing about the sport is the relationships that he’s built. Mani is looking forward to experiencing what it’s like to play D1 basketball at Towson.
Carly Spinner, Field Hockey, Babson College

Carly Spinner will be playing field hockey next year for the Division III Beavers of Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. The starting four-year varsity Goalie for the Colonials has had a total of 450 saves and was named First Team All League her freshman year and Second Team All League her sophomore and junior year. Carly takes pride in the team making it to playoffs all four years including this past season as the undefeated Suburban One Liberty Division League Champions.
Carly played field hockey with the Colonial Field Hockey Club through eighth grade and started playing for the Mainline Field Hockey Club in middle school. She continues to play with them today. She values the sport for the many meaningful friendships she’s made and how it’s a good way to alleviate stress.
An AP Scholar at PW, Carly is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Coalition, and the For Pete’s Sake Club. She is also the manager for the PW Softball Team and social media manager for Calming Colors. She plans to study business at Babson.
Marissa Storti, Volleyball, Millersville University

Marissa Storti will be heading to Millersville University next year to play volleyball with the Division II Marauders. An Outside Hitter and four-year varsity starter for the Colonials, Marissa has racked up 550 kills and 102 aces so far. She was named All League Second Team the last two years and All League Honorable Mention as a freshman. Her highlights include winning the Suburban One League American Conference title in 2022 and 2023.
Marissa started playing volleyball when she was 12 and has played for club teams for six years, as well as her CYO team. She believes her career at PWHS prepared her for the future by teaching her how to balance school and sports, stay disciplined, and work hard while being part of a team.
A Distinguished Honor Roll student at PW, Marissa is also involved in the Hope for Homeless Club and National Honor Society. Marissa will be majoring in Biology/Pre-Optometry at Millersville.
