PWHS bassoonist Ace Cratin advances to PMEA State Orchestra

Congratulations to Plymouth Whitemarsh High School junior Ace Cratin whose audition at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Region VI Orchestra festival earned him a seat at states.

Cratin competed against the top musicians from Montgomery, Bucks, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Chester counties, winning a spot on Bassoon 1.

The PMEA Region VI Orchestra festival was held at Girard Academic Music Program in Philadelphia. The ensemble performed under the baton of Brazilian-American conductor Austin Chanu, the former Assistant Conductor of The Philadelphia Orchestra. The PMEA State Orchestra will take place at the Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center in Pocono Manor, Pa., in April.
