New faculty and staff are welcomed to #TeamColonial

Colonial School District welcomed over 20 new employees to #TeamColonial with three days of induction activities that began on Aug. 13.

Teachers, counselors, long-term substitutes, and nurses had the opportunity to meet the Colonial School District administrative team and participate in activities designed to help acclimate them to their new jobs. The new professional staff members learned about different departments such as Technology, Community Relations, Pupil Services, and Human Resources, while also learning about the District's commitment to creating a positive, responsive classroom and to Culturally Relevant and Sustaining Education (CR-SE). They also learned about safety and security measures throughout the district and took part in content-specific conversations or meetings with mentors. A bus tour is also part of the three-day induction program.
