Five CES students performed in PMEA Elementary Band Fest
Congratulations to the five Colonial Elementary School band members who participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Elementary Band Fest at Log College Middle School in Warminster.
The fifth graders—Mac Orchowski (trombone), Kai Foster (clarinet), Tyler Chang (trombone), Joseph Kelly (trombone), and Charlie Kelly (trumpet)— prepared the music in advance with CES Band Director Eric Wilson. Then they spent a day in rehearsal with other students from Bucks and Montgomery counties.
"It was a really good experience to know what level you're at and to know what other level people your age are at in different schools,” said Charlie. “It was also fun sharing that passion for music knowing that we are all committed to our instruments."
The PMEA Band Fest ended with a concert for family and friends, under the baton of guest conductor Dr. Jason Worzbyt from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
