Colonial School District welcomes 24 educators to #TeamColonial
Colonial School District welcomed new teachers to #TeamColonial Aug. 12-14 as part of the annual induction program that takes place prior to the start of each school year.
Of the induction group, 16 of the teachers are brand-new to the district, another seven are current employees taking on new roles, and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School alum Samantha Matthews is returning to her alma mater to teach math.
During their three days of induction, the participants had the chance to meet the administrative team and take part in training and informational sessions related to curriculum and instruction, technology, artificial intelligence, pupil services, human resources, safety and security, and community relations. The District's Master Teachers also delivered several of the workshops. The new employees also got to tour the district by bus and met with their building principals and mentors.
