Colonial Middle School students sell their own Eagles swag
Colonial Middle School students raised over $350 through the sale of bracelets celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles, in advance of the Birds playing in the Super Bowl.
The students designed the bracelets using beads to spell out phrases like “Go Birds,” “Eagles,” “Philly,” as well as different players’ names. Then they took on the task of promoting their products, taking orders, and making sales to their fellow classmates, as well as faculty and staff. The experienced helped students to learn some valuable skills, while also providing a way for others to express their support for the Birds.
“It was really exciting to see the students and staff so eager to support not only our students, but the Eagles,” said Melanie Sherer, special education teacher. “We sold over 200 bracelets.”
The money will be used for the Life Skills classroom’s future projects, community-based activities, and more.
