CMS Clefnotes kick off holiday season with a community performance

In anticipation of their first annual Holiday Showcase on Monday, December 9, the Colonial Middle School Clefnotes brought some sounds of the season to the residents of the Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill.

The group of seventh and eighth-grade singers shared a preview of their upcoming concert with the senior citizens. “We loved seeing the smiles on the residents’ faces and enjoyed bringing them some joy for the holiday season,” said Clefnotes members Gwenn DeNolfi and Annabel O’Neill.

The Clefnotes, who have been rehearsing for several weeks, treated their audience to a mix of popular tunes, holiday classics, and even audience participation. The setlist included “Come Alive” from The Greatest Showman, a personal favorite for Clefnotes member Autumn Bobo. “It’s uplifting, makes people happy, and sets the tone for our performance,” she said.

After the concert, the students shared holiday greetings and spent time chatting with the residents.
