Student Device Insurance Program available for families
All students this year will be receiving a device as part of Colonial School District's 1:1 initiative. As part of this initiative, students are expected to treat their devices with care and report damages immediately to school. However, we understand that accidents happen and are offering families the option to enroll in an insurance program this year. Information about how to enroll and how to pay will be coming from your child's school.
This optional program costs $30 ($15 for those enrolled in the Free/Reduced Meal Program). Enrolling in the insurance program means that up to two repairs to your child's device will be covered (for example, things like broken screens or keyboards). Intentional damage to the device will not be covered. The insurance fee can be paid by cash, check, or MySchoolBucks (additional fees are applied). Please see communication from your child's building for information on where to return payment, how to make checks out, etc.
