Boys Indoor Track & Field Team breaks two school records at Ocean Breeze Invitational

Congratulations to the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Boys Indoor Track team for breaking two school records over the weekend at the 2024 Ocean Breeze Invitational in Staten Island, New York.

Five boys. Four wearing medals.

Khaleef Clarke, Tyler Patrick, Daniel Ajuz, David Winchester, Bryant McKay

The boys 4x200 relay team cut more than two seconds off of its own school record of 1:33.79 with a 1:31.39. This time also punched their ticket to the Pennsylvania state indoor championship meet later in February. The relay consists of Daniel Ajuz, Khaleef Clarke, Tyler Patrick, Bryant McKay, and alternate David Winchester who ran in the 4x200 finals. They are ranked fifth in the state and 20th nationally. They have also been invited to run at the Nike Indoor Nationals in March.

The 4x800 relay team also broke the indoor school record by running 8:40.03 besting the old record of 8:44.30. This relay includes Jack Yamashita, Joshua Bucko, Brett Westerfer, and Paulo-Hantuan Carbajal-Beltran.

In the field events, Daniel Ajuz placed second overall in the long jump and, with that, solidified his position for the state championship meet. He is ranked nationally for three events: the long jump, the 60 meter dash, and the 4x200 medley. Cole Ashbridge also placed third in the shot put.
