William Jeanes Memorial Library offers fall programs for children and teens

William Jeanes Memorial Library in Whitemarsh Township is offering a variety of programs for children and teens this fall. Here's a look at some of the upcoming programs:

  • I Survived Book Club on Sept. 25, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: For children in grades 3-5 who will read and discuss "I Survived D-Day, 1944."
  • Magic Tree House Book Club on Sept. 23, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: For children in grades 1-3 who will read and discuss "Magic Tree House Revolutionary War" and make a drum. 
  • Creative Writing Club: Offered the first week of each month at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for grades 1-2 and Thursdays for grades 3-5. Starts Sept. 2.
  • STEM Explorers: Offered the third week of every month from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with grades 1-2 on Tuesdays and grades 3-5 on Thursdays. Starts Sept. 16.
  • Artists in the Afternoon: Offered from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. the second week of every month. Grades 1-2 on Tuesdsays and grades 3-5 on Thursdays. Starts Sept. 9.
  • Teen Game Night: Offered Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for grades 6-12. Starts Sept. 2.
  • Youth Advisory Board Open House: Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to find out what the Youth Advisory Board is all about on Friday, Sept. 5, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
  • Teen Cafe: For grades 6-12 and offered every Monday in September (except Labor Day). Stop by the board room between 6 and 7:30 p.m.
  • Powerpoint Night: Offered Friday, Aug. 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for teens in grades 6-12. Present and/or enjoy fun, serious, and silly presentations, along with pizza and snacks.
