Conshohocken Free Library is offering a variety of programs for children.
Friends of the Library Used Book Sale- Saturday, September 5th |11:00am – 1:00pm
Join the Friends of the Conshohocken Free Library for their monthly Used Book Sale at the library. All profit supports library programs such as museum passes and special events. Books are $1 for hardback, 50 cents for paperback or fill a bag for $5! Bring your own bag or use one we provide.
Stories that protect Preschool Storytime-Thursdays, September 10th, 17th, and 24th | 12:15pm – 1:00pm
This is a special preschool story time series presented by Victim Services Center of Montgomery County. Learn more about their mission here: https://www.victimservicescenter.org/
This program gives young children gentle, age-appropriate tools around feelings, safe adults, boundaries, and communication — while also giving caregivers simple, supportive ways to continue those conversations at home.
Due to the nature of this program, late arrivals of 10 minutes or more can not be admitted to the program. If you are registered and arrive late, please enjoy passive activities in the children's area of the library.
If you register and become unable to attend, please use the cancelation link in your email to free space up for others on the waitlist. Movie Event: Pressure-Friday, September 11th | 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Enjoy a movie in the Community Room on Friday, September 11 at 1pm. We will feature Pressure starring Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis.
Summary: In the tense 72 hours before D-Day, and with the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg as they face an impossible choice--launch the largest and most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.

Death Cafe-Saturday, September 12th | 10:30am - 12:00pm
Join Death Doula Kyra in the community room for a safe space to discuss death and dying. Please register online so we know how many to prepare for this event.
What is a Death Cafe?
A Death Cafe is a facilitated, informal gathering where people discuss death and dying over tea and cake in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space, aiming to reduce stigma and increase awareness about mortality to help people live more fully. These are not grief support groups or counseling sessions, but rather open, participant-led discussions with no specific agenda, goal, or product promotion. They operate on a non-profit basis, following principles of respect, confidentiality, and fostering open conversation about a topic often avoided in society.
Cooking with Conshy-Monday September 14th
Spice up your life each month with a sample of spices and recipes to try at home. Just show your library card at the circulation desk and ask for the spice of the month! Check out new, flavorful experiences at home. Return only feedback for how you used your spice. Spice kits are available on the second Monday each month, one per household and while supplies last.
Movie Event: Project Hail Mary-Monday, September 14th | 5:30pm – 7:10pm
Stop in for a late matinee movie adaptation of Andy Weir's SciFi Thriller, Project Hail Mary. Decide which was better...the book or the movie?
Registration is not required but space may be limited.
Science teacher Ryland Grace wakes up on a spaceship light year from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction--but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.

Junior Book Club-Wednesday, September 16th | 5:15pm – 6:00pm
This is a book club for 4th through 7th grade. Join in on select Wednesdays in the community room to discuss each month's book. Enjoy snacks, complete an activity, and talk about the library and complete a service project. At this meeting, we will be discussing "Esperanza Rising" by Pam Munoz Ryan.

Constituent Services with Rep. Greg Scott’s Office-Thursday, September 17th | 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Join staff from Pennsylvania Representative Greg Scott's office for constituent services when the community room becomes a satellite office from 1-3pm on the third Thursday each month. This month we will welcome special guest Pennsylvania Senator Vincent Hughes to help with Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications as well.

Enjoy a movie in the Community Room on Monday, September 21, We will feature Hoppers, starring Piper Curdy, Bobby Moynihan, and Jon Hamm.
Summary: A 19-year-old animal lover uses technology that places her consciousness into a robotic beaver to uncover mysteries within the animal world beyond her imagination.
Hoppers is rated PG and has a runtime of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Babies in the Library-Tuesdays September 22nd and 29th | 10:30am
This 10:30 am story time is planned for newborn babies through age 2, with a limit of 15 families. They will sing songs, read a couple of books, and play afterwards. The link to register is live a week before program date. Registration closes a day before event the event or when maximum number is reached.
Due to the nature of this program, late arrivals of 10 minutes or more can not be admitted to the program. If you are registered and arrive late, you may join the group at 10:50am for Stay and Play if space permits. When you arrive, please sign in at the circulation desk.

Friends of the Library Meeting-Wednesday, September 23 | 6:30-7:30pm
Join us for a Friends of the Conshohocken Free Library meeting from 6:30-7:30pm. The Friends of the Library is an all volunteer group that supports various library programs. This is a great way to help out the library and get to know the community. Anyone is welcome to attend a meeting and learn what it means to be a "Friend" of the library.
Bingo at the Library! Friday, September 25th | 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Join the branch manager of Conshohocken Free Library for FREE Bingo in the library! Bring your own marker or purchase a bingo dauber from the library for $3. Snacks and bottle water available for purchase for $1 each. This will help the library raise money for future prizes. Registration is required.

Afterschool Yoga Monday, September 28th | 3:45pm – 4:30pm
Join us for kids' yoga after school from September 28th through November 16th! Presented by Yoga Home. This program is for ages 6-10. Please register in advance. If there are no registrations five days before the event, it will be rescheduled. Registration required.
CFL Banned Book Club-Monday, September 28th | 6:30pm – 7:30pm
In recognition of Banned Books Week, October 1-4, CFL Book Club voted and selected Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo for this year's Banned Book Club Meeting. Join us in the community room for a lively discussion. Copies are available now with an extended due date of August 29.
