PWHS Boys’ 4x800 Relay Team medaled at the PA Indoor Track and Field championships

Congratulations to the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Boys’ 4x800-meter Relay Team for placing eighth at the Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association State Championships recently held at Penn State University. 

The team of PWHS juniors—Josh Bucko, Willie Waerig, Chris Gekonge, and Brett Westerfer—ran the 4x800 in 8:02.04, setting a new school record. With this accomplishment, the boys have also qualified to compete at the New Balance Nationals in Boston on March 13. 

On the girls’ side, PWHS senior Luce Allen ran the 200-meter dash, placing 17th in the state with a time of 25.71.
