Two Conshohocken Elementary School students will start the summer with some brand new wheels, thanks to a generous donation. Cayden Woods, a second-grader, and Victoria Trzaska, a third-grader, were the lucky recipients of two bicycles and helmets that were donated by the Conshohocken Police Department.
Cayden and Victoria were selected by their teachers to receive the bikes because they have consistently demonstrated respect, responsibility, kindness, and other positive qualities that make up the school's Coyote Characteristics.
Detective William Walter and Detective John Storti III delivered the bikes to Cayden and Victoria and congratulated them, along with the rest of the students in the school, on June 10.
The bike giveaway is an annual tradition that has gone back many years through a partnership with the police department. The Conshohocken Police typically spend time with students each year teaching them about bike safety. Due to COVID-19 restrictions this year, the bike safety presentation was put online.
