Congratulations to Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) Senior Ben Saywitz and Junior Katie Smith for being selected for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 11 Chorus after a competitive audition process.

At the PMEA District 11 Chorus festival recently held at Springfield Township High School, the two PWHS singers joined other talented vocalists from Montgomery and Bucks County to rehearse a challenging multicultural program. The group performed under the baton of Dr. Cristian Grases, associate professor of choral music and conductor of the concert choir at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. A Saturday afternoon concert capped the three-day event.

Through the District 11 audition, Ben Saywitz qualified and will be moving on the PMEA Region VI Chorus festival, hosted by North Penn High School on February 27-29.
