Student Spotlight - Timothy Kim

Timothy Kim with clarinetPlymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) sophomore Timothy Kim has been selected to perform as a soloist for the Ambler Symphony Orchestra in February. He will play Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, K622.

A Distinguished Honor Roll student at PWHS, Mr. Kim has been studying clarinet for six years. Currently a member of the Delaware County Youth Orchestra, he participated in the 2017 National Youth Orchestra of the United States (NY02) at Carnegie Hall's Weill Institute. He also has been a member of the Philadelphia Sinfonia for two seasons 2016-18.

Mr. Kim has won prizes at the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition, the Philadelphia Korean Musicians Association sponsored Youth Music Competition, the Music Teachers National Association Pennsylvania Chapter competition and the Tri-county Concerts Youth Festival.
