Class of 2020 families,
This Wednesday, May 20 will be the first of four diploma ceremonies for the distinguished Class of 2020! In order to maintain a safe environment and adhere to the Governor's strict guidelines, please review the bullet points outlining expectations for the ceremony (below). We ask that you also review the informational video which is a more detailed version. (Click here to watch the video.) Out of an abundance of caution, it is imperative that we follow the expectations. Thank you in advance for your support.
Seniors may attend with his/her parents or guardians and immediate family members only (one vehicle per family permitted). In order to adhere to the state's current guidelines, we must limit the number of people present. Please click here and complete the Google Form to assist us with our planning.
The video displays a map of our campus and route we will follow. We ask that you proceed from Colonial Drive to the Football field parking lot (Point A). At that time, our security staff will direct you to the next location (Point B). We will have individual students and immediate family enter the building one at a time to adhere to social distancing guidelines. After one family is finished with the recognition and exits, the next student and family will enter. *There will be a staff member at each location to guide you. Please be prompt and arrive 5-10 minutes early.
We are expecting all students and immediate family members who are entering the gymnasium to wear a mask upon entry. (For each photo, masks may be removed) All high touch areas will be cleaned between ceremonies and hand sanitizer stations available.
Leaving the Campus:
We must adhere to a strict schedule and ask that you please exit our campus after your ceremony. The Whitemarsh Police department/local authorities have been instrumental working with our team and will help to ensure all families exit in a safe manner. No congregating please!
All students will receive a diploma cover during the ceremony from administration. Although we typically shake hands during a traditional ceremony, we will instead employ an "air" congratulatory gesture! *All qualifying students will receive his/her diploma on either June 3, 4 or 5. Students will also submit obligation items at that time (books, devices, etc). More information with times and specifics to follow.
End of the Year Deadlines:
Please note that Thursday, May 28 is the last day work will be posted for students with all assignments due May 29. There are no final exams so it is important for our seniors to complete all assignments and finish in a positive manner.
We thank you for cooperation and support as we celebrate this special Class of 2020 together!
