PWHS Cheerleaders headed to states and nationals

The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) Cheerleaders recently earned a spot at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) State Championships in January and two bids to the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Championships in February.

27 girls in cheerleading uniforms with pom pomsIn mid-November, the PWHS squad took first place in the Super Varsity Division and third place in the Game Day Super Varsity Division during the Traditional Cheerleading segment of the UCA Northeast Championships in Toms River, New Jersey. With these wins, the girls locked in two bids to the National High School Cheerleading Championship, February 8-10, in Orlando, which is nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN-2. 

The PWHS Cheerleaders' performance at the PIAA District One Competitive Spirit Championships on December 1 at Central Bucks South High School earned the squad a chance to compete at the state level on January 10-11 at the Giant Center in Hershey.
