Masks optional for summer programs

Dear Colonial Families,

As you may be aware, the Montgomery County Office of Public Health (MCOPH) released updated masking guidelines last week for summer camps and summer schools. The latest guidance, which becomes effective tomorrow (June 21), states that masking is optional for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals at summer camps and summer schools. This is based on the latest data, which indicates that the county has been below 20 cases per day on average over the last 14 days. Click here for a link with more information.

As a result of this updated guidance, we will not be requiring masks in summer programs hosted onsite in Colonial School District buildings for adults or children. However, anyone who wants to continue to wear a mask is welcome to do so.

We hope you are enjoying summer so far. Please stay safe!
