Making A Difference: PWHS Mini-THON

Group of eight students forming diamonds with their fingers. On Friday, April 6, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) students will be spending the night in the Colonial Elementary School gym, playing games, singing and dancing at their own Mini-THON.

An outreach of Penn State’s THON event, PWHS’s Mini-THON also raises funds for the Four Diamonds Foundation, where all proceeds go directly to Penn State’s children’s hospital and research toward pediatric cancer. PW students have worked throughout the year with the goal of raising more than $10,000 for the cause.

“All students involved have been extremely dedicated and organized, and we have received enormous amounts of support from the PWHS staff and community,” said PWHS student Ava Rosen, Overall Head of Communication for the event. “Though we did not have a ton of time to plan and fundraise before the beginning of this school year, we are quickly progressing and finalizing everything to ensure a great event.”
