The Colonial School District (CSD) welcomed more than 400 potential members of the Plymouth Whitemarsh Class of 2030 to their first day of school on Monday, September 11. The kindergartners were greeted by teachers and classroom aides as they came to school. Each kindergartner wore the T-shirt color of his or her class. Students will wear the color-coordinated T-shirts the first week of school.

I look forward to playing," said Liam, a kindergartener whose favorite animals are alligators and sharks.

"I want to learn the alphabet, and I want to learn to read," said Peyton.

Students spent the first part of the morning getting acquainted with their teachers and classmates, settling in to their rooms and learning their daily routines.

This is the 14th year of full-day kindergarten district-wide in the CSD.
