Four PWHS students qualify for DECA International Conference

Students holding trophies from DECA state conference.Plymouth Whitemarsh High School seniors Sam Cohen, Justin Hong and Blake Rosen, along with junior Spencer Berg, have qualified for the DECA International Career Development Conference. The students earned the right to compete at the event through their recent performance at the Pennsylvania DECA conference.

Cohen qualified for the national event for the second straight year after earning a medal for high role play score and placing third overall in Business Financial Services. He placed fourth at the state conference last year.

Hong won two medals for high role play score and placed third overall in Food Marketing.  Rosen also earned a high role play score medal while placing fourth overall in Restaurant & Food Service management.

Berg earned a medal for high test score and placed second overall in Business Services Marketing.

The DECA International Career Development Conference will be held April 21-24 in Atlanta, Ga. More than 10,000 students from across the United States and seven other countries are expected to compete in the event.
