Khan Academy

Check out a new website to help stay up-to-speed in math this summer! Khan Academy can figure out where a student needs help, keeps track of their progress and will grow with them through high school! If you already have an account, click here to go to Khan Academy and choose which grade level or area to review over the summer. If you're looking for more information about Khan Academy and how to create an account, click here.

Click on the grade level you're leaving for the appropriate math packet to help keep your math skills fresh over the summer.

If you're having trouble in math:

  • Talk to your math teacher! Your teacher will help develop an action plan to get things back on track; they want to help you succeed!

  • Math Help is available during Activity/Learning Time (2:20-2:55 p.m.).

  • Visit the Helping with Math page. Click here to access the page, select your grade level and scroll down to the Connected Math Module that you're doing in class. Then click on the corresponding "Worked Homework Examples" tab for completed sample problems with explanations.
  • Visit the online math resources below and look for games and activities that will help you with the concept that you'd like to revie

  • AAA Math: Offers a variety of concepts by grade level and includes a list of additional web-based resources
  • Cool Math: Offers an amusement park of cool math games
  • Fun Brain: Offers numbers games for grades K-8 that let your brain explore, collect and compete in a variety of math games!
  • Illuminations: Offers a library of online math activities that help to make math come alive in the classroom or at home for grades 6-8.
  • IXL: Offers a variety of extra practice by grade level and concept
  • Khan Academy: Features thousands of bite-sized videos, step-by-step problems and a rich and engaging learning experience on math concepts ranging from arithmetic to calculus.
