Colonial Elementary School

School isn't just about academics. In the Colonial School District (CSD), students and staff are Making A Difference in their schools, community and world.

The new Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Michael Christian, has brought the "Making A Difference" campaign to Colonial, and you can learn more about the program and service learning in the District at the Colonial Community Coffee Hour on Wednesday, October 25, at 9:30 a.m. in the District Office General Meeting Room on the first floor of Colonial Elementary School.

For the first half hour of the event, you'll meet members of the CES Cares club from Colonial Elementary School and find out the results of their first initiative of 2017-2018, as well as participate in an activity led by the Anti-Defamation League peer trainers from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School to get an idea of how these students work to build tolerance and acceptance in their visits to ninth grade homeroom periods known as Bonus Blocks.

The second half hour is left open to allow time for questions and coffee with the presenters and District administrators. Colonial Food Services will also be offering samples of healthy snacks offered in CSD schools that follow the national nutrition guidelines. Coffee is being donated by the Starbucks Coffee Company, Ridge and Butler Pikes in Conshohocken.

Don't miss this exciting opportunity to see how service learning has a place in the Colonial School District. Everyone is welcome to attend the first Colonial Community Coffee Hour of the 2017-2018 school year at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25 in the District Office General Meeting Room, located on the first floor of Colonial Elementary School, 230 Flourtown Road in Plymouth Meeting.

NOTE: This is a different date than is listed in the printed District calendar.
