Adult Evening School

Red Cross CPR Certification is just one of the classes available through Colonial's Adult Evening School.Would you like to pick up a new craft, learn more about computers or take a fitness class? Adults age 18 and older in the community can take advantage of courses like these that are available through the Plymouth Whitemarsh Adult Evening School.

The Plymouth Whitemarsh Adult Evening School is a nonprofit organization sponsored by the Colonial Board of School Directors. Course offerings fall under the categories of:

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Business and Finance
  • Languages
  • Special Interests and
  • Health and Recreation

The classes are designed mainly for the self-improvement and enjoyment of the students.

Classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights with three sessions held during the school year. No high school or college credit is given. Unless otherwise noted, classes are held in Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, 201 E. Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting.

The 2017 Fall Session begins the week of September 18. New classes this fall include Advanced French Conversation, CPR Bleeding Control, German, Tai Chi, Selling Your Home and West Coast Swing.

Classes run for 10 weeks or as stated in the course description. There will be no evening school classes when the Colonial School District (CSD) is closed for a holiday or inclement weather. There will be no classes on Wednesday, November 22, the night before Thanksgiving. School cancellations will be posted on the District website. A voice message will also be posted at 610-834-1671.
